The 2026 CALPCC Conference and Student Symposium are organized into three core tracks designed to reflect the depth and evolution of LPCC practice. Core Systems & Practice focuses on real-world clinical environments and service delivery, including subtracks such as Roots & Resilience: School-Based Mental Health, Community in Action: Public & Nonprofit Care, Inside the System: Correctional Facilities, Hospitals & Integrated Care, Private Practice Mastery, Substance Use & Recovery Pathways, Crisis to Continuum: Higher Levels of Care, Justice & Healing: Correctional Mental Health, and First on the Frontlines: First Responder Mental Health. Identity, Culture & Specialized Care highlights inclusive and population-specific approaches, featuring subtracks like Pride & Practice: LGBTQIA+ Affirming Care, Love, Sex & Connection: Couples, Families & Sex Therapy, Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice, Global Trauma & Migration Mental Health, Military, Veterans & Service-Connected Care, and Career & Vocational Counseling in Modern Practice. Innovation & Leadership centers on the future of the profession, with subtracks including The Digital Clinician: AI, Tech & Telehealth, Policy in Practice: Legislation, Advocacy & Systems Change, Ethics in Evolving Practice, Leadership & Supervision: Growing the Profession, Emerging Models: Alternative Relationships & Expanding Identities, and Future of Counseling: Innovation & Program Development. Together, these tracks offer presenters a dynamic platform to advance clinical practice, identity, and impact across the counseling field.
Presenter Requirements
The primary presenter must be a current CALPCC member in good standing. Membership status will be verified and must remain current through the duration of the conference (October 2026)
The primary presenter serves as the main point of contact and is responsible for informing all co-presenters of proposal status, scheduling, and other communications from CALPCC. The email address provided by the primary presenter will be used for all correspondence.
Presenters must meet one of the following three qualification categories based on relevant education and/or experience:
Category 1: Presenter holds a graduate degree in a mental health field from a regionally accredited institution and is qualified by appropriate education, experience, and/or training to present on the subject matter.
Category 2: Presenter holds a graduate degree directly related to the subject matter from a regionally accredited institution and is qualified by appropriate education, experience, and/or training.
Category 3: Presenter is qualified by appropriate education, experience, and/or training to present on the subject matter.
